This past quarter brought new partnerships, international regulatory milestones, and installations that expand access to diagnostic breast imaging. Here’s what these developments mean for patients.
What is Koning Vera Breast CT?
Koning Vera Breast CT is a dedicated breast imaging system that uses X-rays to create three-dimensional images of breast tissue without compressing the breast. The technology is designed for diagnostic breast imaging, helping healthcare providers evaluate breast tissue when further assessment is needed.

New clinical guidance for breast CT
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity to encourage informed conversations about breast health, including the imaging tools available for different clinical needs.
RadSite, an organization that develops imaging quality standards and accredits imaging facilities, recently published a Clinical Coverage Guideline for Breast Cone Beam CT. The guideline brings together available clinical evidence to help clinicians, imaging centers, and insurance companies evaluate when breast CT may be medically appropriate.
For patients, this represents progress toward a more consistent understanding of breast CT’s role in diagnostic care. It gives healthcare teams a shared reference for evaluating the technology and discussing its use.
The guideline does not guarantee insurance coverage. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs depend on your insurance plan, the reason for your exam, and the imaging facility. Before scheduling, ask the facility and your insurer about your specific situation.

HealthTrust agreement creates opportunities for wider access
Koning is now an official HealthTrust vendor, allowing us to offer our breast CT technology to healthcare facilities within the HealthTrust network.
This agreement creates opportunities for more providers to introduce Koning Vera Breast CT into their practices. While it does not mean the technology is immediately available at every HealthTrust facility, it is an important step toward reaching more healthcare teams and the patients they serve.
MDSAP certification supports quality and international growth
This past quarter, Koning achieved Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP) certification, a milestone that reflects our commitment to rigorous quality management requirements.
For patients, much of this work happens behind the scenes. Quality management systems help guide how medical devices are manufactured and supported. MDSAP certification also supports regulatory processes in participating countries as we work to expand access internationally.

Koning breast CT now available in Brisbane, Australia
The Koning Vera Breast CT System is now included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods, administered by Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). This regulatory milestone enables commercial supply in Australia and marks an important step in bringing breast CT to more patients internationally.
Koning Vera Breast CT is now available at Brisbane Radiology, giving patients in the Brisbane area access to the technology closer to home. Patients interested in an exam should contact Brisbane Radiology directly for appointment availability, referral requirements, and pricing.

Our growing network includes new installations at Executive Health Group in Richmond, Virginia and Hoag Hospital in California, with GYOS in Peachtree, Georgia coming soon.
